  • A MASS IN HONOR OF THE FEAST OF BLESSED MARGARET OF CASTELLO

Monday, April 14, 2008, at 5:30 PM

Saint Vincent Ferrer Church
869 Lexington Avenue, NYC 10021
(between 65th-66th Streets)

Celebrants:
Father Carleton Jones, O.P.
Father Aquinas Guilbeau, O.P.

If you are not familiar with her - Blessed Margaret of Castello was a model of piety, patience, faith, and forgiveness.  For those who work in the prolife movement, Margaret of Castello is a powerful intercessor.  She herself was deformed and marginalized.  She ministered to the ill, the unrepentant, and the dying.  Whatever the life issue may be, Margaret has had some experience with it.  Those working to build a Culture of Life should feel confident in asking her intercession in all areas of prolife concerns.  The prayers of a forgotten saint, who ministered to the forgotten, are powerful indeed.

  • "LIFECHAIN on Broadway," Yonkers
    Saturday, May 10, 2008
    Christ the King Parish
    740 N. Broadway
    Yonkers, NY 10701

Christ the King Parish's Pro-Life Committee is hosting the event, which will begin with a gathering at 1:45pm in the Church parking lot, located at Roberts Avenue and North Broadway in North Yonkers (1 mile south of St. John's Hospital).  Participants are needed from all area parishes, and the Christ the King Pro-Life Committee is asking for volunteers to act as coordinators and liaisons. This event is open to everyone willing to participate and observe the guidelines of a Lifechain event.  (For anyone unfamiliar with a Lifechain, there is a great deal of information on the national site: www.lifechain.net )

The day chosen is the Saturday before Mother's Day, and with a powerful turnout, this witness for life will stretch from St. John's Hospital in North Yonkers to the Planned Parenthood Clinic in South Yonkers.  If you can help make that happen, please call Doreen at 914-473-5937, or send an email.

We look forward to seeing you there!
